Positioned as a gateway to Port Moody Centre, 1805 Hue is a vibrant mixed-use development defined by its colourful glazed balcony guards and light-reflective corrugated metal cladding. A strong masonry commercial base grounds the building at the intersection of St. John’s and Albert Streets, with glazed canopies wrapping retail units for weather protection and visual clarity. Coloured accents, shifting with daylight, animate the north and east façades, while a cascading public art piece by Alex Morrison enriches the street presence. At the heart of the project is a shared residential courtyard framed by two buildings and the surrounding forest, providing play areas, private yards, and access to amenity spaces including a gym and rooftop lounge. Durable materials such as brick, metal, and wood-like soffits reinforce the project’s contemporary and playful character. The building’s public-facing expression continues through the full site, blending into the adjacent riparian and forested landscape.
